I had a great experience at Premier. The doctor and other staff were friendly and did not show the weight bias that is so common among healthcare providers.

The patron saint of gynecology: 20/5 stars.
TLDR: LGBTQIA/Disability/EDS friendly OBGYN who believes in body autonomy has short wait times and actually cares about you and can handle complicated medical histories and problems.
Long story: I work in the healthcare field and the doctors I have worked with recommend premier obgyn as one of the several OBGYNs they like due to high quality care, bedside manner and detailed notes. I knew it was a good practice but I honestly was a little skeptical about all of the 5 star reviews for Dr. W at first and thought it had to be just people at the office rating him because who has this many reviews that are all 5 star. I was so so wrong. I have gone to 5 different OBGYNS in the past due to moving around a lot and have never had one like Dr. W. My other OBGYNs dismissed my symptoms and it felt like I was a chore to them when I would ask questions or want to discuss alternatives. Dr. W gets 20/5 stars for his active listening, answering so many questions, keeping up with my insanely complicated medical history, bed side manner, attention to detail, and believing in my body autonomy. He is not the type of doctor to dismiss symptoms and wont tell you that you have anxiety or just to lose weight when you have issues. I needed someone to cover my women’s health concerns that are complicated due to pre-existing disease. It was a total plus that he was game for helping me try and get a hysterectomy (insurance likely wont cover it for someone younger without certain medical issues), when I changed my mind for just a bi salp (tubes tied) he told me I did not have to convince him and that he would have sterilized me yesterday if he could have. I have had really bad anesthesia reactions in the past so he made sure I met with anesthesia before my surgery. He put more effort into knowing my extensive allergy list and anesthesia consult than my neurosurgeon and is working with me to prevent any anesthesia issues. My surgery had an awake intubation to keep the danger down. I honestly wish I would have scheduled with him to have this done years ago. I really respect him and feel so so lucky to have a doctor who does not do the paternalistic style of medicine and can handle all of my weird drug allergies and with my urogynecologist helps handle my complicated urogynecological issues from ehlers danlos. His medical assistant is really kind and the front desk people are too. He works on the maitland ave and alexandria blvd locations which are both great. I prefer the Alexandria blvd location as you don’t have to call prior to coming in as there are not as many patients in that location (due to only 2 doctors practicing there), the maitland location is great too but you have to call beforehand as they are taking covid precautions (so happy for this) to prevent their higher volume of patients from being at risk. I have recommended him to several of the AFAB people on a tubal ligation facebook group I am on who are in the 20-30’s who don’t have kids and they were blown away too. I spoke with the anesthesiologist during my pre op appointment 1 week before but he was on call doing a lung transplant during my surgery so I had Dr. Parisian and his RN Martin who was 3 months away from being a CRNA, Martin who came in and spoke with me for 30vminutes about an awake intubation & preventing complications while my mom was there with me pre surgery. We did a lidocaine nebulizer treatment, plus two swabs of viscous lidocaine in my throat and precedex which had no affect on me due to my high level of fatigue. We tried to do an intubation but my vocal chords spasmed so we did really light propofol. I did not wake up dead so I am very pleased. I had pain from co2 in my tummy from the laproscopic surgery and my shoulders may have subluxed due to EDS which is not their fault as his RN and assistant taylor padded me with towels to try to prevent this. I used my hard collar for my neck prior to surgery to prevent it being moved due to a fusion, I just washed with chlorhex first. I am very pleased with this experience and probably embarrassed Dr. W by bragging on him. Idc He's great.
